Over his 25 years of practice, Dr. David D Kim has tirelessly served patients stretching from the Savannah coast inland to Vidalia, Hinesville, Statesboro, and more.

He began his path as a physician in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he graduated from the University of Tennessee summa cum laude. He then attended Washington Unversity in St. Louis, Missouri for his medical doctorate. During this time, he married his high school sweetheart, Michelle. His first daughter, Lily, was born right before he left for his ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida. He then completed his fellowship under the greats and giants of glaucoma at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

After an assistant professorship at the University of Florida, he settled down in Savannah where has been practicing for the past 25 years. Despite the rigors of medical training, Dr. Kim and his wife, now a pediatrician, have found the time to raise seven children. Four of them have found their way into eye care- two ophthalmologists and two optometrists-in-training.
